Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Protein Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

A recipe? On this site? Yep.  I’m becoming domestic.

Sort of.

I decided yesterday that I wanted to make cookies.  I also decided that we have a ton of protein powder and I’d love to use it in a recipe.  After a quick google search, I decided to make Protein Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Here’s the recipe:

1 Large Egg

1/2 Cup Chocolate Protein Powder

1/4 Cup Flour

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 Cup Milk

1/8 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips

*Crushed banana (I didn’t add this to these cookies but they would be better with them)

Directions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 340 F.
  2. Mix together Jeff, protein powder, flour, baking soda and milk.
  3. When dough is mixed, stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Spoon mixture onto sprayed cookie sheet- should get 12.
  5. Put in oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven as soon as they cook through. Try not to overcook.
  6. Let them cool and enjoy.

My thoughts:

I’m not the greatest baker but I can really follow directions.  This was a little bit of an experiment in throwing things together.  I really want to be one of those cooks that can grab ingredients from the pantry and put it together to make something good.  While I really like these cookies, I think they need a little something extra, like maybe butter, or crushed banana, to add some moistness.

This was also my first experiment in capturing my cooking/baking process.  It was actually really fun to take photos of the steps and experiment with a different kind of photography.  Maybe I’ll start doing more recipes and getting into more complicated things.  I especially want to try cooking all of my favorite recipes that I try on my travels.

Let me know if you have any tips on baking, especially with protein.
