Wichita Falls, surprisingly, has some great little places for coffee. When I first found out I’d be moving here I didn’t have high hopes. I know it was going to be better than Clovis, NM, where we were before, as far as more stores and shopping and just city things in general. But we were still in a smaller city, a few hours from anything major and I just didn’t know what to expect....

You might know that I love making lists.  It feels good to set goals and almost make them tangible by putting them on paper.  But most importantly, I love crossing things off.  So, naturally, I love bucket lists.  Call them whatever you want, wish lists, life lists, to-do lists, they're the same thing: things you want to do during your life.  Most people have lists like this of some kind because we like setting goals for our lives, like accomplishing things, and like knowing we've done something with...

So I really wanted to go to Piran in Slovenia. It's this small city on the coast of the Adriatic. I love the water, I love these coast towns, and because I’ll be going to Montenegro and Croatia later this month, I really wanted to try to hit all of the countries on the Adriatic (Greece and hopefully Albania will come next year). I actually learned about this city from Twitter, where someone (I cannot find the tweet, at all) posted a picture, saying "Can you believe this...

So I've heard gushing stories about Lush, and I've also heard some not-so-impressed stories. And while I'd walked past their store bunches of times in the mall, I'd never gone in, thinking it was just another expensive soap store, (which...

I bought the ACC Powerbank external charger to use on my many smaller electronics. I have my iPhone 4, an iPhone 3GS that I use as a local phone, and my iPad.  I probably don't need all of that, plus my laptop, but that's another story. My iPhone 4 is still holding strong but the battery life definitely isn't what it used to be, and the 3GS isn't great on battery either.  And especially because I tend to take a lot of overnight transport, I really needed a way...

On my recent trip to Chicago I was able to go on the Original Chicago Pizza Tour from Chicago Pizza Tours.  This company is really well-known in the Chicago area.  They have won awards including the one of CBS's "Best" Unique Tours in Chicago and have some fantastic reviews online from previous customers.  See if this tour is right for you and try to fit them into your trip to Chicago. Here is my review of Chicago Pizza Tours About the Tour This tour takes you to four different restaurants...

Even if you don't know what a City Sightseeing bus is, you probably do.  If you've traveled to big cities in Europe or North America, you've seen the big red, double-decker busses that have huge colorful writing on the side.  The busses that scream "look at me, I'm a  tourist!" If you've read any of my city guides you probably know I think the best way to see any city is to walk.  AND, I always talk about blending in, not screaming out to people that you're a tourist....

I got this journal when I won a contest hosted by Pola from Jetting Around last month.  I was so excited because I randomly enter contests on travel blogs and never win.  I'm still holding out until I get a free trip somewhere.  But until that glorious moment.  I'm so excited to have won the World Travel Diary!  This Diary is made by the Spanish company The Backpacker Spot, a relatively new company that sells travel products.  In the few weeks since I received the diary I have loved...

Wizz Air is a budget airline based out of Hungary.  It primarily goes to secondary airports close to major cities.  When I took them to Venice, it was to the Venice Treviso Airport which is over an hour from Venice, much further away than the closer Marco Polo Airport.  There are currently 44 planes that travel to  32 countries.  The airline has many specials and "summer only" routes that they use to entice travelers.  The airline has been compared to Ryanair for its cheap prices and strict baggage...

The Grand Hostel Budapest is a great place to stay while visiting the beautiful city of Budapest.  It is slightly out of the city center, giving you a feel of  leaving the city, while still being close enough to quickly get to all of the important and famous places in Budapest.
